Alluri Seetha Ramaraju Jayanthi
On 4th July 2024, Alluri Seetha Ramaraju Jayanti was celebrated in the college. Alluri
Sitarama Raju was a fearless freedom fighter who led the Rampa Rebellion against British rule in
Andhra Pradesh. Dr. RVSK Reddy, Associate Dean, NSAC, and the faculty of NSAC honoured
the portrait of Alluri Seetha Ramaraju and enlightened the gathering about this great revolutionary
who inspired tribal people to fight for their rights and independence.

NSS Special Camp
Seven day NSS special camp for final year B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students was
conducted from 25th to 31st May 2024. During these seven days various events like Swacch Bharat,
socio-economic survey, rally to create awareness on plastic usage, women empowerment and
agricultural education, blood donation, planting of trees, etc. were organized. The programme was
organized in Thokapalli village of Peddaraveedu (M). All the final year students were actively
participated in all the events and 17 boys and 8 girls (total 25 students) donated blood.

World Environment Day on 5th June 2024
On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Cultural Centre conducted competitions
in various events like poster making, photography, and quiz under the theme of World Environment
Day, 2024 i.e. “Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience”. Prizes were distributed
to the winners in the competitions on the celebrations of World Environment Day on 5th June 2024.

International Plant Health Day on 12th May 2024
International Plant Health Day was celebrated on 12th May 2024. Dr. RVSK Reddy,
Associate Dean, NSAC, and the staff and students of NSAC reminded the gathering about the
importance of plants once again.

Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April 2024
Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was an Indian jurist who fought for the justice, an economist
with vast knowledge, and a social reformer who stood for the Dalits and toiled for the equality in
Indian society, and is well known for heading the committee drafting the Constitution of India. On
14th April 2024, Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated in the college remembering the greatness of Dr.
BR Ambedkar and his contributions to the nation.

Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanti on 5th April 2024
Jagjivan Ram, endearingly called Babuji, was a freedom fighter who not only fought for
the freedom of India but also for the freedom and rights of Dalits. He served our nation in several
positions including Union Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister, leaving a lasting impact
on the nation through his uninterrupted representation in the Parliament for 50 years. In his tenure
as Agriculture Minister, he successfully led the Green Revolution in our country. To honour this
great national leader, on 5
th April 2024, Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanti was celebrated in the college.
Dr. RVSK Reddy, Associate Dean, NSAC, and the faculty and students of NSAC honoured the
portrait of Babu Jagjivan Ram and enlightened the gathering about the greatness of Babu Jagjivan
Ram.

Sri Potti Sreeramulu Jayanti on 16th March 2024
On 16th March 2024, Sri Potti Sreeramulu Jayanti was celebrated in the college. Sri Potti
Sriramulu was a great leader of Andhra Pradesh state who sacrificed his life for the formation of a
separate Andhra state. His hunger strike followed by his death in 1952 led to the creation of Andhra
Pradesh. Remembering the sacrifices of this great personality, Dr. RVSK Reddy, Associate Dean,
NSAC, and the faculty of NSAC honoured the portrait of Sri Potti Sreeramulu and enlightened the
gathering about the greatness of Sri Potti Sreeramulu.

International Women’s Day on 8th March 2024
On the occasion of International Women’s Day (8th March 2024), students actively
participated in the programme by singing and playing musical instruments. Students sang a special
song explaining the greatness of women. Mrs. Bujji Bai, Mandal Agricultural Officer,
Peddaraveedu (M) and the Chief Guest of the event, Dr. RVSK Reddy, Associate Dean, NSAC,
staff and students of NSAC enlightened the gathering on the importance of women in the society
as well as in the development of nation.

Fresher’s Day on 17th December 2023
Students of all the years performed dancing and singing during the celebrations of Fresher’s
Day. Mahesh Babu, one of the second year students who received the second prize in solo singing
in the intercollegiate sports, literary and cultural meet, 2023, gave special performance on the
occasion. Another student named Raja Sree, studying the first year has given a special performance
of guitar playing.

Republic Day on 26th January 2024
On 26th January 2024, republic Day was celebrated in the college premises. On this
occasion various competitions were conducted for the students and the prizes were distributed to
the winners during celebrations. On this occasion, Dr. Ratna Priyanka R, Assistant Professor and
Head (Hort.) and the in-charge of the cultural centre has written a song on the theme of 75th
Republic Day i.e. “India – The Mother of Democracy”. The song was performed by the students
on the occasion by playing musical instruments. Students echoed the sound of march-past by
playing various Indian traditional musical instruments during the parade on the occasion.

World Soil Day on 5th December 2023
World Soil Day was celebrated on 5th December 2023 in the college. On this occasion
various literary competitions were conducted for the students and the prizes were distributed to the
winners. Staff and students reminded the gathering about the importance of soil, its role in our
sustenance, and our role in protecting our soil and preserving its health.

National Agricultural Education Day on 4th December 2023
Competitions in various literary events were conducted for the students on the occasion of
National Agricultural Education Day and the prizes were distributed to the winners during the
celebrations on 4th December 2023.

Andhra Pradesh Avatarana Dinotsavam on 1st November 2023
Andhra Pradesh Avatarana Dinotsavam was celebrated on 1st Nov 2023. Dr. RVSK Reddy,
Associate Dean, NSAC, faculty and students addressed the gathering explaining the brief history
of Andhra Pradesh state and the greatness of Sri Potti Sriramulu who fought for the separate state
for Telugu people.

Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2023
Staff and the students of NSAC gathered on 2nd October 2023 to observe Gandhi Jayanti
and remembered the greatness of our great national leader who fought for the independence of
India.

NSS Day on 24th September 2023
On the occasion of NSS Day, a Swacch Bharat programme was conducted in the college
premises. Students were actively participated in the programme.

Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2023
Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2023 commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr.
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great teacher and philosopher and is dedicated to remember the role
of teachers in shaping young minds. This special occasion was celebrated in the college and the
college management appreciated the teaching staff for their dedication and contribution in
educating the students and presented gifts to them.

Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam on 29th August 2023
On 29th August 2023, Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam was celebrated in the college. This date
was chosen by the state government to coincide with the birth anniversary of the Telugu poet
Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy. Dr. RVSK Reddy, Associate Dean, NSAC and the teaching staff
gave speeches on the significance of our mother language and history of this very day.

National Sports Day on 29th August 2023
On 29th August 2023, National Sports Day was celebrated in the college. Dr. RVSK Reddy,
Associate Dean, NSAC, honoured the portrait of Major Dhyan Chand with garland and encouraged
the students to actively participate in extracurricular activities. Competitions were conducted in
various games and sports and the prizes were distributed to the winners during the celebrations.

Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu Jayanti on 23rd August 2023
Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu is known as "Andhra Kesari" for his fearless leadership
during India’s struggle for independence. He is the first Chief Minister of Andhra State. To honour
him, his Jayanti was celebrated in the college on 23rd August 2023. Sri Nadella Chandra Mouli,
Chairman, SNSES and Dr. RVSK Reddy, Associate Dean, NSAC, honoured the portrait of
Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu and enlightened the gathering about the greatness of Sri Tanguturi
Prakasam Panthulu.

Independence Day on 15th August 2023
On 15th August 2023, Independence Day was celebrated in the college. Flag hoisting was done by
Dr. RVSK Reddy, Associate Dean, NSAC and students participated in the march-past.
